'সমাহিত' এবং 'সমাধিস্থ' সাধারণত আনুষ্ঠানিক বা সাহিত্যিক প্রেক্ষাপটে ব্যবহৃত হয়; দৈনন্দিন কথাতে 'কবর দেওয়া' বেশি প্রচলিত।
