誰かに正式に情報やアドバイス、決定を尋ねること。この表現は特定の人や権威に尋ねる時に使います。

'Inquire of'はとてもフォーマルで、法的・ビジネス・書面の場面でよく使います。日常会話では'ask'が一般的。'inquire of the manager'のように相手が続きます。
