ऐसी पट्टियाँ जिन्हें दौड़ में खिलाड़ी लांघते हैं, या कोई भी समस्या और कठिनाई जो किसी काम को कठिन बनाती है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

खेल (दौड़) में भी और जीवन या काम की कठिनाइयों के लिए भी 'hurdles' का उपयोग होता है। आम वाक्यांश: 'overcome hurdles', 'face hurdles', 'clear the hurdles'। 'hurdles' को 'hurtles' (बहुत तेज़ गति से जाना) से न मिलाएँ।
