Personas que viajan consiguiendo que otros conductores los lleven gratis, generalmente pidiendo un aventón al costado del camino.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se utiliza casi siempre en plural: 'recoger autostopistas'. Puede sugerir aventura, riesgo o necesidad. Es menos común en algunos países por temas de seguridad. No confundir con 'mochilero', que es diferente.
