Definition

কারো থাকার জায়গা বা বাস করার কাজকে বোঝায়। সাধারণত কোনো নির্দিষ্ট মানুষের বসবাসের স্থানকে বুঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'বাসস্থান' বা 'বাস' সাধারণ কথাবার্তায় কম ব্যবহৃত হয়, এর পরিবর্তে 'বাড়ি' বা 'ঘর' ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'habitation' আইনি, বৈজ্ঞানিক অথবা ইতিহাসভিত্তিক আলোচনায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
