Um movimento súbito e forte do vento ou do ar, ou (raramente) uma explosão rápida de algo como emoção ou energia.

Usado principalmente em contextos de vento ('a gust of wind'). Também pode ser figurativo ('a gust of laughter'), mas é raro. Neutral em formalidade. Geralmente aparece em 'gust of [algo]'. Não confundir com 'breeze', que é vento suave.
