Lantai pada sebuah bangunan yang berada sejajar dengan permukaan tanah, biasanya merupakan lantai yang pertama dimasuki dari jalan.

Dalam bahasa Inggris Britania, 'ground floor' berarti lantai dasar, sedangkan di Amerika disebut 'first floor'. Perhatikan penomoran lantai di hotel internasional agar tidak salah lokasi.
