그래플러는 레슬링, 유도, 브라질리언 주짓수 등에서 상대를 잡거나 굳히는 기술로 승부하는 사람입니다. 주로 붙잡기 기술에 능한 선수들을 말합니다.

주로 잡기, 포지션, 관절기 등이 뛰어난 격투기 선수에게 사용합니다. 'skilled grapplers', 'MMA grapplers'와 같이 쓰이고, 타격 위주 선수에게는 사용하지 않습니다.
