未来や運命などを神秘的な方法で占うと主張する人のこと。

'占い師'は中立的な表現で、娯楽やイベント、小説などでよく使われます。「占い師に行く」や「占い師が予言した」などの使い方が一般的で、宗教的な預言者にはあまり使いません。
