体内にある小さな袋状の構造で、主に髪の毛が生える部分や卵子が発育する部分を指します（例：毛包、卵胞）。

主に医学や科学の分野で使われます。「hair follicle（毛包）」「ovarian follicle（卵胞）」などの形でよく出ます。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
