불을 끄기 위해 물을 보내는 길고 유연한 호스입니다. 소방관이 불에 물을 뿌릴 때 사용합니다.

주로 안전 및 소방 상황에서 사용됩니다. 건물에서 유리 캐비닛에 '소방 호스'로 표시되어 있는 경우가 많습니다. 영어에서는 정보가 쏟아지는 것을 비유적으로 쓸 때도 있습니다 ('drinking from a fire hose').
