খুব বেশি ময়লা বা নোংরা অবস্থাকে বোঝায়। এছাড়াও, কোনো কিছু নৈতিকভাবে খারাপ বা অশ্লীল হলে সেটাকেও বোঝানো যেতে পারে।

‘filthiness’ কবিতায়, ধর্মীয়, বা আনুষ্ঠানিক প্রসঙ্গে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। শারীরিক এবং নৈতিক উভয় অর্থে (‘the filthiness of his thoughts’) ব্যবহার সম্ভব।
