Poner documentos en un sistema organizado, normalmente en carpetas o archivadores. También, presentar formalmente un documento, especialmente ante un tribunal u organización.

'Filing' se utiliza mucho en contextos de oficina o legales. 'Filing a lawsuit' es iniciar un proceso judicial. Como sustantivo, es tanto organizar papeles como presentar documentos formalmente. No confundir con 'file' (archivo/archivo físico) ni 'filling' (relleno).
