Definition

祭りや展示会、カーニバルなどが行われる大きな屋外スペース。遊具や屋台、ショーなどで賑わう場所です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に複数形で使われ、イベントそのものではなく場所を指します。英語の“showgrounds”と同義の場合もあります。
