Definition

모터로 움직이는 계단으로, 사람들이 건물의 다른 층 사이를 오르내릴 수 있도록 도와줍니다. 주로 쇼핑몰, 공항, 기차역 등에 있습니다.

대부분 장소에 여러 개 있어 복수로 사용하는 경우가 많음. '엘리베이터'와 혼동하지 않도록 주의. '에스컬레이터를 타다' 식으로 사용.
