Definition

在火快熄滅後剩下、還在發亮的小木塊或煤炭。餘燼仍然有熱度，可以再次引燃火焰。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

通常以複數型態使用，可以是實際意義上的火堆殘餘，也可比喻尚未消失的情感，如「憤怒的餘燼」。常見用法有「閃爍的餘燼」、「將熄的餘燼」，不表示熊熊燃燒的火焰。
