Definition
エコーロケーションとは、音の反響を利用して物の位置や距離を把握する仕組みです。コウモリやイルカなどが、暗闇や水中で物を探すときに使います。

主に科学や生物について話すときに使われる専門用語です。『コウモリはエコーロケーションを使う』のように使われます。日常会話ではあまり使いません。『レーダー』とは異なる用語です。
