指清晨起牀或很早開始活動的人；有時也用於指很早到場的人。

多屬非正式和帶有正面意思，常見於諺語'早起的鳥兒有蟲喫'。不適用於熬夜型的人（夜貓子）。可指早起習慣或做事早到。
