Definition

수분을 완전히 잃어버려 마르거나, 자원이나 물자가 다 소진되는 것을 뜻함.

물이나 작은 수역이 마를 때, 자원이나 돈이 다 떨어졌을 때 주로 씀. 누군가에게 'dry up' 하라고 하면 다소 무례할 수 있음.

The river will dry up if it doesn't rain soon.

곧 비가 오지 않으면 강이 완전히 **말라버릴 거야**.
