最初起草文件或設計圖的過程，之後會進行完善或定稿。既可以指寫作，也可以指技術繪圖。

'Drafting' 常用於學術、技術或商務場合。寫作時指寫草稿，工程或建築領域則為繪製技術圖。勿與徵兵（military draft）混淆。
