對某人表現出大量的愛與關心，經常是過度的，通常是因為非常喜歡對方。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

稍微正式或文學用語，多用於對小孩、家人或寵物的溺愛。慣用結構是“dote on someone”。不要與“dotty”混淆（意指“稍瘋癲”）。
