Procurar algo em um lugar mexendo nas coisas ou procurando cuidadosamente, geralmente com as mãos. Também pode significar investigar ou buscar informações de modo indireto.

Geralmente informal, usada para buscar fisicamente ('em' gavetas, bolsas) ou investigar casualmente. Normal com 'in', 'through', 'for'. Sugere procurar algo escondido. Não usar para cavar literal (usar só 'dig').
