Pequenos fragmentos de pão, bolo ou outro alimento assado. Figurativamente, quantidades muito pequenas ou porções insignificantes de algo.

Literal: 'bread crumbs'. Figurativo: 'crumbs of comfort/information' (quantidades mínimas). 'Throw someone crumbs' significa dar muito pouco. No inglês britânico, 'crumbs!' é uma exclamação antiquada de surpresa. Em UI/UX, 'breadcrumbs' é um padrão de navegação.
