갑자기 감정이나 정신적으로 무너져서 통제할 수 없게 되는 것. 상황이 엉망이 되었을 때도 쓴다.

주로 비격식체로, 스트레스 상황에서 사람이나 일이 망가질 때 쓴다. 'lose it', 'fall apart', 'freak out'와 유사하며, 항상 비유적으로 사용한다.
