「女子学生」は、女性が初めて男女共学の学校に通い始めた頃によく使われていた、女性大学生を指す古い表現です。

今ではこの表現は時代遅れや差別的に聞こえることがあります。女性学生や学生を使う方が一般的です。「coed」は「共学」を表す場合もあります。
