緊張したり、話したくないことがあるときに、急に話すのをやめたり黙ること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に会話や口語で使い、誰かが緊張したり秘密を話したくないときによく使う。「shut up」とは違い、指示ではなく突然の沈黙を表す。
