어떤 금액이나 일을 다음 기간이나 상황으로 옮기는 것. 주로 비즈니스나 회계 분야에서 사용됨.

회계, 업무 등 공식 문서나 대화에서 주로 사용됨. 일상 대화에서는 잘 쓰지 않음. 'carry forward a balance'는 잔액 이월의 의미임.

We need to carry forward last year's profits into this year.

지난해의 이익을 올해로 **이월해야** 합니다.

Any unused vacation will carry forward to next year.

사용하지 않은 휴가는 내년으로 **이월됩니다**.
