Definition

ケーブルグラムとは、海底などの電気ケーブルを使って遠く離れた場所へ送られるメッセージのことです。メールやチャットが普及する以前によく使われていました。

「ケーブルグラム」は現在ではほとんど使われず、歴史や技術の話題でのみ見かけます。現代の「telegram」は「電報（でんぽう）」を使います。
