কারো সাহায্য ছাড়া অথবা একা কোনো কিছু করা বা থাকা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

পুরো বাক্যে সাধারণত ক্রিয়ার পরে বসে। কেবল বহু-বচনের জন্য ব্যবহার হয় ('তারা'), একবচনের জন্য 'by himself/herself' হবে। আনুষ্ঠানিক বা চলিত নয়; সহজ ভাষা।

Examples

The children can eat by themselves now.

বাচ্চারা এখন **নিজেরা** খেতে পারে।

They fixed the car by themselves.

তারা গাড়িটা **নিজেরাই** ঠিক করেছে।

The birds built the nest by themselves.

পাখিরা বাসা **নিজেরা** বানিয়েছে।

They like being by themselves on weekends.

তারা উইকেন্ডে **নিজেরা** থাকতে পছন্দ করে।

Don’t worry, the kids are fine by themselves for a few hours.
