Definition

ডাকাতরা সাধারণত অস্ত্রসহ গ্রামে বা পথিকদের ওপর আক্রমণ করে, বিশেষ করে দূরবর্তী বা গ্রামের এলাকায়।

'Brigands' শব্দটি সাধারণত পুরনো বা সাহিত্যিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। দিনের পরিভাষায় সাধারণত 'ডাকাত', 'দস্যু' ব্যবহার হয়।

The village was attacked by brigands at night.
