বড় এবং সাধারণত আয়তাকার বোর্ড, যা সাধারণত শ্রেণিকক্ষে চকে লেখার জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয়।

'blackboards' শব্দটি বহুবচন; একবচনে 'blackboard'। এখন অনেক স্কুলে 'whiteboard' ব্যবহৃত হয়, তবে চকে লেখার বোর্ড বোঝাতে এখনও ব্যবহৃত হয়।
