アニメーションは、絵や模型、コンピューターなどで動く映像を作ること、またはその映像作品を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『アニメーション』は、主にアニメやCG映像など、実写ではない映像作品に使われます。『Animated film』は日本語で「アニメ」や「アニメ映画」と訳されます。人の活気や元気さを表す意味はほとんど使われません。
