मुख्यतः औपचारिक और चिकित्सा क्षेत्र में प्रयोग होता है। 'Ambulatory patient' यानी जो चल सकता है। 'Ambulatory care' का मतलब अस्पताल में भर्ती किए बिना उपचार। इसे 'ambulance' से न मिलाएँ।
