Definition

女中音是指介於女高音和男高音之間的歌唱聲部，也可以指演唱這一聲部的人。在音樂中，也可以指某種樂器或樂曲中的聲部。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

英文中的‘alto’主要指音樂上的聲部或樂器，不表示“高”這層意思。不要與‘high’（高的）、‘tall’（高個的）混淆。
