"although" in Hindi

Definition

यह एक conjunction है जो ऐसे तथ्य को प्रस्तुत करता है जो वाक्य के दूसरे हिस्से से विरोध या अप्रत्याशित संबंध दिखाता है। इसका अर्थ लगभग “इसके बावजूद कि” होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

यह बोलचाल और लिखित दोनों में आम है। यह “though” से थोड़ा अधिक formal है, और “though” अक्सर वाक्य के अंत में आता है। इसे “but” के साथ एक ही संरचना में न लगाएँ: “Although it was late, we stayed” सही है, “Although it was late, but we stayed” नहीं।

Although it was raining, we went outside.

She smiled although she was tired.

वह मुस्कुराई **हालाँकि** वह थकी हुई थी।

Although he is young, he is very calm.
