Bir şeyin doğru olduğunu, genellikle kanıt olmadan söylemek veya ileri sürmek.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
Genellikle haberlerde ve hukuki bağlamda kullanılır. 'allege that...' şeklinde geçer; günlük konuşmada kullanılmaz. 'accuse' kelimesinden daha yumuşak bir iddia içerir.
