Definition

誰かの悪い行いや失敗を他の人（特に権力のある人）に告げて、その人が困るようにすること。主に子供に使うが、大人にも使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に子供が「告げ口」する時によく使われ、やや否定的なニュアンスがある。'tell tales'はただの話す意味ではなく、他人の失敗を伝えて困らせる意味が強い。
