Definition

二つの異なる意見や金額のちょうど真ん中で合意すること。

主に価格や条件交渉時に使う表現です。数値に関する妥協だけに使い、他の対立には使わないでください。「meet halfway」に似ていますが、平均をとる意味が強いです。

I want to pay $20, you want $30. Let's split the difference and pay $25.
