কোনো বস্তু ছোট, ধারালো টুকরোতে ভেঙে যাওয়া বা কোনো দল ছোট ছোট ভাগে ভাগ হয়ে যাওয়া।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'splintering wood' মানে কাঠ ভেঙে টুকরো টুকরো হচ্ছে; 'political splintering' বলতে দল বা গোষ্ঠী ভেঙে ছোট ছোট ভাগ হওয়া বোঝায়। বিমূর্ত অর্থে ব্যবহারে সাধারণত আরও আনুষ্ঠানিক।
