Definition

スクリプトは映画、演劇、スピーチ、プログラムなどのために書かれたテキストです。また、手書きの書体や言語の文字体系を指すこともあります。

一般的に『script』は映画やショーなどの台本の意味で使われます。IT分野では自動化など短いプログラムも指します。『script体』は筆記体の書き方や、アルファベットなど文字体系を指す場合もあります。映画専用の『screenplay』とは区別します。

She wrote a script for the school play.
