계획은 어떤 목적을 위해 체계적으로 준비된 방안이나 시스템을 의미합니다. 공식 프로그램일 수도 있고, 비밀스럽거나 부정직한 의도일 수도 있습니다.

영국식 영어에서는 'pension scheme' 등 중립적으로 쓰이고, 미국식 영어에서는 부정적으로 느껴질 수 있습니다. 'plan'에 비해 'scheme'은 공식 프로그램 또는 은밀한 의도가 담길 수 있습니다.
