Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa mucho en contextos tecnológicos ('retrieving data') y al referirse a traer objetos físicos ('retrieving a ball'). Es más formal que 'buscar' en algunos casos. No se suele usar con personas, prefiriendo 'recoger'.
