クォータとは、輸入できる商品数や入学できる人数など、一定の制限や決められた数を指します。

'クォータ'はビジネスや行政、教育現場で使われるフォーマルな複数名詞です。「インポートクォータ」「セールスクォータ」「多様性クォータ」などの表現によく現れます。通常は最大数を意味しますが、最小数の場合もあります。単数形“quota”や一般的な“limit”とは異なります。
