Çoğunlukla meyvelerin yumuşak, sulu kısmı ya da kâğıt yapımında kullanılan hamurdur.

Gıda sektöründe meyvenin yumuşak kısmı için, endüstride ise kağıt hamuru için kullanılır. 'Beaten to a pulp' çok kötü dövülmek anlamında.
