Definition
O ato de puxar algo de forma brusca, como cabelos, penas ou cordas. Também é usado para tocar instrumentos de corda ao puxar as cordas.

Usado para remover pelos ou penas ('plucking eyebrows', 'plucking a chicken'), e para tocar cordas ('plucking the guitar'). 'Plucking' é a ação contínua; o verbo é 'to pluck'. Não confundir com 'picking' (escolher) ou 'pulling' (puxar em geral).
