モンスーンは、南アジアや東南アジアで強い季節風と大雨、またはそれによる雨季のことです。

「モンスーン」は主に天気や気候、地理を説明する際に使われます。「ハリケーン」や「台風」とは異なり、風や雨季という意味です。南アジアの背景でよく使われます。
