指未經允許從某處拿走某物，特別是抄襲他人的話、觀點或作品；也可以指偷竊。

多用於學術或創意場合，表示抄襲（如 'lift from a book'）。偏口語，有貶義。也可指物理竊取，但偷竊常用 'steal from'。後面通常接來源（'lifted from the article'）。
