誰かが故意に不誠実や不正、だまそうとする意図で行動すること。正直や善意ではないこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
法律やビジネスの場面でよく使われます。「in good faith」の反対です。単なるミスや誤解ではなく、意図的な悪意や不正を指摘するときに使います。動詞の後ろに置かれることが多いです（例：acted in bad faith）。
