Definition
峡谷は、水の流れによってできた狭くて急な斜面の谷で、特に乾燥地帯や山岳地帯によく見られます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にアメリカ英語で使われ、西部の荒野や冒険小説によく登場します。「canyon」や「ravine」より日常的で小規模な地形に使われます。大きい谷には使いません。
