Definition

物事の最後の部分までやり切ること。すべて終わらせるニュアンスで、作業や食事、活動などで使う。

カジュアルな会話でよく使う。単なる「終える」より強調的。「finish up your dinner」のように、きれいに終わらせる意味で使う。ビジネスやフォーマルな場では使わない。

Please finish up your homework before dinner.
